At Alankaar, we take pride in offering high-quality, handcrafted products that carry the essence of Indian artistry. However, we understand that sometimes things might not work out as expected. Our refund and return policy is designed to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for our valued customers.
Refunds
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. Please note that items purchased directly from Alankaar’s website are the only ones eligible for a refund.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account or credit card statement again. Then, contact your credit card company or bank, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us so we can assist you further.
Sale items
Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded unless they arrive damaged or defective. In such cases, please contact our customer service team immediately with a description and photos of the issue.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please contact us.
Please note that exchanges are subject to availability. If the item you wish to exchange is no longer in stock, you will have the option of receiving a refund or selecting an alternative product.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received and processed, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and they will be notified about your return.
Shipping returns
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
